Form 1099 Reporting Reminder

Happy new year.

Form 1099 preparation is for rent and payments to service providers (such as accountants including myself, attorneys, bookkeepers. and independent contractors) over $600 paid in 2025. 

Form 1099s must be filed by January 31. 

Everybody gets one for services and rent except CORPORATIONS. The one exception is that law firms always get a 1099 even if the business is a corporation.
