Don't Forget California Minimum $800 Entity Tax Due April 15

Corporations and LLCs- don’t forget your $800 minimum tax is due April 15.

California allowed a temporary first year exemption to the $800 minimum tax for LLCs, LLPs, and LPs that organize, register, or file with the Secretary of State from 2021-2023.

For LLCs, beginning in 2024, new LLCs will once again pay the $800 minimum tax in its first year.

Corporations (including S-corporations) are still exempt from the first year $800 minimum tax as well. However, this first year corporation exemption is a permanent tax law.
